Welcome to Kattegat Cup
Information
We are delighted to welcome all clubs to the 27th Grenaa IF's international tournament, the Kattegat Cup 2011. The tournament starts with a parade by all teams with marching bands through the town of Grenaa at 10 o´clock from the schools on Thursday 28th July 2011
The tournament
Starts from 10 o´clock on Thursday 28th July till Sunday 31st July 2011 at 12 o´clock. The matches are played at either 11 aside, with level A (1) and B (2) series for Boys (U-17) and Boys (U-15).
Check website for details to see if A & B series is available in other age groups.
*Level A series is for the better teams.
Provided there is space on the pitches available, a losers tournament may be held. See classification.
The football pitches
Kattegat Cup will be played at the Grenaa Sports Center, which has 13 pitches.
Meals
Will take place in the Sports Centre Hall, situated next to the football pitches.
Accommodation
Is provided in schools close to the football pitches. Every team has a classroom of its own during the tournament. Please bring your own sleepingbag and airmattress.
Free transport
At arrival in Grenaa and Ebeltoft there will also be free transport by bus from the train/ ferry/ airport to schools. During the tournament there will also be free transport to and from the schools and the sports center.
Events
Besides football, Kattegat Cup has lots of other things to offer. Visits can be arranged to the most popular sites in the area, such as the Kattegat Centre with Denmark's biggest shark basin and tropical sharks, Djurs Amusement Park with more than 60 exciting activities - e. g. a huge water area, an African area and Rio Grande Rafting. Grenaa also has a great beach, where you can relax on the white sand and in the clear waters after a hard day.
